I have made time over the last week to reflect. On what? Everything.
The food we eat
The shoes on my feet
The words I choose to use
The amount of sleep I get
If I should use real sugar or splenda in my coffee…
Reflection. I think it’s an action we all owe ourselves. This is what I’ve learned…
The food we eat really isn’t that great—because it’s mostly fast food.
The shoes on my feet really don’t matter.
My job is stressful sometimes, but I’m glad I have one.
The words I choose to use should be more thought out…unfortunately, my two year old is no stranger to the word “idiot”.
The amount of sleep I get is over rated. I’ll sleep when I die.
AND…I should definitely use real sugar ALL.THE.TIME.
Reflection keeps things fresh…makes me remember I’m not a droid working on auto-pilot. My decisions are my own because I say so…not because society released an upgrade to a personality they say I need to have, or because the fair is in town and we all must go. I do not want the new shoes on the market when the ones I have don’t have any holes in them and I certainly do not want to try a new substitute sugar when the real stuff is all I’ll ever need.
**Come to think of it…maybe my two year old SHOULD learn the word idiot and how to apply it properly…in fact…I can think of no better teacher—bawhahahaha**
